DONG GIANG SKY GATE CABLE CAR

1. Project Context & Challenges

Set amid the rugged Truong Son Mountains, the Dong Giang Sky Gate Cable Car project was developed across steep and challenging mountainous terrain with harsh weather conditions. The installation of a modern cable car system spanning nearly 1.6 km and reaching an elevation of 800 m required strict control of technical accuracy, structural safety, and project schedule.

2. BILCO’s Scope of Work – Supervision Consulting

As the supervision consultant, BILCO monitored the construction and equipment installation process to ensure the project met the required quality standards:

• Cable Car Equipment Installation Supervision: Closely monitored site activities, including tower foundation works, installation of 7 steel towers, cable installation, and integration of electromechanical systems.
• Technical & Safety Compliance: Ensured installation works complied with approved designs, applicable construction regulations, and international safety standards specified by Doppelmayr.
• Terrain Risk Management: Identified and addressed technical risks arising from challenging mountainous conditions, supporting coordination between civil works and cable car equipment.
• Inspection & Commissioning: Coordinated load testing, technical measurements, and system safety inspections prior to handover and commercial operation.
